Bodrum makes a good day trip or as a base to explore the coast and historical sites. Blue sea and even bluer sky, luxury yachts in the marina, easy going, fun-loving, cosmopolitan - infact the St Tropez of Turkey. The 15th century Castle of St Peter dominates the port and city and makes a worthwhile visit. At night it becomes one of the livliest discos and strobe light shows in the area and is extremely popular.

Bodrum is 57 miles from Kusadasi, you can take a bus which roughly takes about 2 hrs, depending on whose driving! You can also sail if you wish & may find a boat in Kusadasi Marina running trips.

I've been to Bodrum twice, once with a car once with a dolmus. And you know what? We came faster with the dolmus! LOL Maybe because when we went with the car, it was our first time and we didn't take the better road. It took us 2 hours with the dolmus. You can get there via Kusadasi's or Söke's bus station.
