a friend told me maybe its smart to take your mobile to turkey (triple band mobile)
and buy a turkish prepaid cart (simcart) there .
when u meet people it much cheaper to give them that number the to take call with my DUTCH abonoment.
sonny (or someone else) can u explain me some more ??
    1 smart or not
    2 cost
3 range where people can call me
    4 best provider

why do u need a new number for 8 days ? I think that is not smart , I think it will cost you about 20 € to get a turkish simcard and it takes 24 hours to activate it ... if i were you i would just take my dutch mobile and send sms to the people i think that is cheaper and smarter ( for 8 days ) ..

    hi!!

i have a bit of info but don't know if you will find it helpful - i bought a turkish sim card (turkcell) but i don't remeber the exact price, a guess would be 30 lira.

i think it's brilliant and the credit for the mobile costs about 12 and half lira for 10 units and about 22 lira for 250 units.

the coverage is great and it costs 2 units when texting a turkish number and four units for a different number.

i hope i can help in some way and my explanation is not too confusing and not too wrong!!!

    yeah, more days for me..

i go twice or three times a year and i stay for a month or three weeks each time!! so it's better for me to use that than my irish mobile.

i don't remember geeting free credit with the prepaid card, and it did take 24hrs to activate, i don't know the reason for that!!

sorry i can't be more heplful, but maybe it will be a waste of money for you - spend it in bar street instead!!! x x x

    HI..

I have telsim card and I can say that it cool, more cheaper then roaming
you can send alot of sms and mms for 8 days
and more, telsim is cheaper then Turkcell, some people say that it does not work correctly, but I use it more than year when i visit turkey and I like it, no problems
