I take Lira too, but I think next time I will bring euro, just for the fact the local shops/bazaars will accept it & at least you know what your shopping costs.

Davina also said in a recent post that if your going bring €uro & change it in Kusadasi because the exchange rate is better locally.. pro.gif

Hey Spikydu. Been told to take sterling or euros.

Checked what the exchange rate was yesterday and Marks and Spencer are giving you 2.799 ytl for the pound.

    waouh !! 1 euro = 1,959 liras (When i went in Kus 3 weeks ago. : 1 euro =1,690)

For people who are there, it's really the moment to change !!!

    1 euro = 2YTL, is it often happened ?

i always take sterling but when we picked our tickets up today with thomas cook they told us that turkish lira is sky high but if we want to change our money in thomas cook and tell them we booked with them then they,ll give us an even better rate so not sure what to do now as when you get to Bodrum airport its always good to have sterling and lira unsure.gif
