    Hotel Korumar - Kusadasi

Operator and Date: (Thomas Cook Discounts) Thomas Cook - September 2003

Opinion submitted in Oct 2003 by : Martyn Jones - North Wales

    Resort Rating: Good

    Accommodation Rating: Good

    My/Our Holiday Opinion:

The Korumar hotel was advertised as a 5* hotel. We didn't find this to be the case - more along the lines of a UK 3*. However, this was (having spoken to other tourists in the area) the best hotel to be had in Kusadasi and, although not what we were expecting, the hotel was clean, comfortable and had fantastic views over the bay to Kusadasi harbour.

Kusadasi itself is a much larger and very much more "pushy" town than other places we've visited in Turkey (Bodrum, Altinkum) and this can sometimes get a little out of hand, especially the local shops. However, for a complete change of pace a ferry trip to the Greek island of Samos is a must - if only to get away from all the hasstle.
A trip to Ephasus for the day is a fascinating tour back in time and, with an English speaking local tour guide we got a further insight into life as it was 1500 years ago.

Aquafantasy is another trip not to be missed - especially if you have children. It's clean, safe and above all great fun for people of all ages.

Kusadasi is a great place for shopping and sight seeing - however, if it's a quiet beach holiday you're after - this just isn't the plac
    e to be.

    hi all mariska.gif

I've spent my 1 week holiday (end of august) at this hotel !

All i can say is, this is deffinately 1 of the better ones in Kus pro.gif

The food is great, the staff is great, it's only 10 min. with dolmus or 5 min. with cab to center of Kus.

The rooms r very luxury and so is the rest of the hotel !!

Only downsite is the horrible music in the lobbybar blushing.gif

I haven't seen much of the animation team, but during the day we were mostly asleep soo... didn't miss it whistling.gif

    Bye, crazygirl harhar.gif

I can recommend Korumar highly, its e of the best hotels i've stayed in. Stayed there the first time i went to Kusadasi and it was lovely got the best service ever, the food was good and it wasnt the same food everyday i got, like some hotels do when food is incl. The turkish night was alos excellent, the rooms are nice and the view is amazing (of course if u choice the sea view). Unfortunately i didnt try the club at the hotel but i've heard it should be really good, and off season many of the turksish people go there.

Trust me its worth the money. thumbsup.gif

    Nice pics Jos and Ria!
A,d true, the Korumar is a great hotel, i stayed there one day in 2004 for the Bennys Water Sports and loved it. Only noticed that there wasnt as much entertainment as in most of the hotels in Kus.

Ive worked in the Korumar and its a stunning hotel.... Not exactly MY sort of hotel, think I was a bit too loud for it, but it is a fab hotel with, as previously said, AMAZING views of all of Kusadasi. The staff there are also very good. Ive also been on the roof cocktail bar at night when you can see all of Kusadasi lit up and its out of this world, if ya ever get the chance, go!! There was a new deck built over the pool last year that you can hire for weddings etc which would be THE most amazing place to get married... so if anyone is thinking of taking the plunge, forget Las Vegas.... do it at the Korumar in Kusadasi!!! xxx
