first impression when we got there - the picture of the hotel is more or less based on optical illusion.. meaning.. it looks like its facing the sea but its not really the truth
however... one side of the hotel has great view - on one side the sea, on the other centrum...

two couples also arrived with our agency and luckily for me

i was the only one who remembered to ask for sea view
both of them got rooms on the other side and when they asked to change them it was too late so one of them got stuck with a "wall view" to another hotel (on a meter distance lol)
Half Board/All Inclusive needless to say i had no idea where i was when we first arrived and my chaotic state was supplemented with a plastic bracelet a staff member sort of sealed to my arm saying "you could have problems" lol as soon as i closed the room door i got rid of it

cause it made me feel like in that movie ..you know.. when they have some bracelets which are supposed to track them if they try to escape from prison lol)
anyways.. as i realized later, there are blue and red ones - blue for all inclusive and red for half board and people actually wear them lol
Room
well.. i really liked it.. it was spacious, nice and clean
at one point i realized they had two "cleaning ladies" one was a woman and when she cleaned.. it was a thorough cleaning which was visible and smellable lol
and a guy which.. well.. wasnt so thorough nor giving when it comes to the number of towels he left
i just never figured out which of them made our beds like this

(dont let the roses fool you - i put them there haha)
Hair dryer - it was there (on my surprise) and it worked lol
TV - 6 programs in total, 5 turkish (none of them with music ;( and MTV
Fridge - hm...even if it worked.. which was not the case.. whats the point? once u leave the room, the electricity goes off so.. ?
Air condition - yep it was there.. havent tried it though cause i really didnt need it and its charged extra
Radio - oh that was a real master work! from some time around II world war! lol most of the ppl didnt even realize IT used to play music lol see for yourself

(again - pay no attention to the roses - they have nothing to do with the courtesy of the hotel
Food if you ask me - it was great! if you ask a couple that was there last year as well - they'd say it was better last year..bigger choice of meals..any water, drinks and coffee that you take during the dinner is charged.. (it wasnt like that last year they say)
I dont know if its normal or not but.. they didnt tell us anything about it
however, i like turkish food no matter what.. apart from the salads

i was only interested in rice anyways and even the "rice guy" (lol) realized that
All of the pictures that can be found on the net (and in our first
Surtel topic) are obviously quite old.. in the meanwhile, they built a glass wall on the 5th floor around the restaurant and only one row of tables is outside now
Pool also another thing that changed in relation to whats on the photos that are all around the net..
(there's only a bit of it in the picture above) they put a fence around it and theres a bar on a level a bit higher than the pool and.. there is no grass around it lol (there's a picture where it looks like it but its actually carpet and even the carpet is not there anymore lol)
anyway, it was not easy to find an empty sunbed there..
Staff
hm... the receptionists always smiled (even when they had no idea what i was talking about) waiters at the restaurant.. well.. not much to say.. they dont really do much do they? of course i liked the rice guy (one of the cooks) lol
aw and.. goshhh there was this one guy who always stood at the entrance to the hotel which i think was the reason for the nightmares i had every night
Noise well.. i had my chance to check that out lol
it starts at 11pm and doesnt stop until 5am (6am at weekends) and.. i looove music - cant live without it! but this wasnt music - this was chaotic noise made by music from all the bars, restaurants etc in kus playing in the same time but.. luckily, the hotel has very good isolation. so, once you close the balcony door, you almost hear nothing at all (but let me stress - almost!)
Other there's a tv room with a bar on the 1st floor but it was always empty except on our last day when we occupated the place during our endless waiting for the bus to arrive (rooms are to be left by 12)
there's a part of it they call "oriental corner" which is quite nice with seats looking well.. oriental

they do not have "internet" in any form theres one pc which i guess used to be used in this purpose when they still had it
Elevator! argh it got broken on our third day there and they fixed it on our last day. actually.. sort of "fixed" because the door opened sooo slow that it was scary
In short apart from the small details i complained about above.. its a good 3* hotel and especially its location (just behind the Ataturk statue) makes it great!
hm.. this picture doesnt fit anywhere lol but its the entrance where the reception is
