    Kusadasi fans,

when you leave kusadasi to come back at home, what gifts or typical kusadasi souvenirs do you bring to your friends or family ?

it will give some ideas for those who go for the first time in Kus. pro.gif

"THE EVIL EYE"..ofcourse, its nearly a national emblem or something!!....its pretty cool though, ward off evil and win wars for the Ottomen Warriors!!.....myself any my buddies all have the keyrigs!!...I also got a picturee of some guy (in clothe), i couldnt understand who the guy in the shop said it was, first I thought he said Allah, but I dont think thats who it was meant to be!...but its attacthed to a hugh EVIL EYE aswell.......I also got my mother a platre made in Kusadasi, she loves plates that look different etc, but it was very well made, worth every penny. Also for a few of the kids I got braclets, anklets and necklaces...all ofcourse with the EVIL EYE...there was one shop....MAGNIFICENT Artist working there, its near the estate agents beside Burger King...but he makes these faces out of animal skins....Unreal stuff, genius!!....U guys know that shop?.....I wish I could have bought some of it, but the big skulpture was 5000 dollars, a bit over my budget!!..LOL

hand blown glass perfume bottles (made near Didim), enamelled jewellery, enamelled old fashioned but useful handbag mirrors - used to be called compacts when I was young, (with or without the blue evil eye), packets of gift cards with mosaic motifs, also blank greeting cards with similar patterns on the front page, sewing kits with mosaic patterned lids (about the size of a match box - cheap and cheerful and great if you need a large number of items all the same . Happy haggling.!
